The Fibonacci Roulette Strategy that is also known as Fibonacci Sequence, is used to play roulette and wager money on even money bets. This is a more linear strategy and doesn’t require to double your bets each time you loose, like the Martingale. While this is great in general, it also has its cons as you’ll often be required to win several spins in a row in order to just get even.
The whole Betting System is based on Fibonacci Sequence of numbers, which is a list of numbers where each number on the right side is a sum of the previous two. Got it? If not, here’s the list :
- 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55 89 144… and so on.
Applying Fibonacci Strategy at Roulette Tables
This system seems to be designed for Online Roulette as I’ve never seen someone sitting with a sheet of paper at a real Roulette Table. So here’s how you’ll apply the sequence of number to determine how much you need to wager.
As with all other systems, you’ll need to determine a betting unit. Let’s say you pick $10 as your starting wager. Each number in the sequence represents the amount of units you are advised to bet. So you’d have to start out by betting $10.
If you loose, Fibonacci System advises to move to the next number in the list. So if you lost betting $10, bet $10 again. If that loses too, bet $20 and so on. Also, write down the number you lost betting at. So If you lost $10 twice sequence would look like 1 1.
If you win, cross of the last two numbers in the sequence and determine your bet units from there on.
Let’s check an example of using Fibonacci Roulette System in real time. For purposes of this example I’ve used $10 as 1 betting unit, but you can do it as you please!

Flaw in Fibonacci Roulette System
There’s quite an obvious flaw in this one.. The Fibonacci is just a sequence of numbers, so there’s no reason why it should change the House edge and turn you into a winner. I can write down a sequence of 1 5 8 14 21 and name it as Eddie’s Sequence. Will that help me to win money at Roulette? No, of course not! Same applies to Fibonacci!
Benefits of using Fibonacci System
As we’ve discussed in other articles, any use of a Betting System, Strategy or call it whatever you want, will benefit you as a player. Worst things (loses) happen when everything’s out of control and you don’t think straight anymore. Use of a system like Fibonacci will allow you to keep it together and avoid all the bad things that are associated with gambling. It’s fun when you do it correctly!
